We are thrilled to announce that Angie Watson, RN is the new Director of Nursing at The Towne House! Angie has been a valued part of our community since 1998, starting her journey as a CNA and working her way up through various roles, including LPN and charge nurse for over 20 years. Angie’s dedication to learning and growing within the field of nursing led her to utilize the BHI tuition reimbursement program, earning her BSN in 2019. From there, she became the In-Service Director, where she trained and educated nursing staff and taught CNA classes. Most recently, Angie served as Clinical Educator with BHI Senior Living, instructing CNA and QMA classes across all BHI communities in Indiana. With her wealth of experience and deep connection to The Towne House, we know Angie is the perfect fit for this leadership role. Exciting News: BHI Senior Living Partners with Alzheimer’s Association for Innovative Care Initiative We’re thrilled to announce a new, groundbreaking initiative funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH)! In collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, BHI Senior Living will be launching a two-year program called ALZPro: A Long-Term Care Model. This initiative is designed to enhance person-centered care across all BHI communities through comprehensive training for staff, leadership, and resident families. It will also expand The Journey, BHI’s mission-driven effort to improve the quality of care for residents living with dementia. “We are excited to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association to introduce new resources that will elevate our commitment to providing exceptional care for our residents and their families,” said John Dattilo, CEO of BHI Senior Living. Training and resources will roll out in the coming weeks, and we are honored to contribute to a program that supports both caregivers and the community we serve. Last week, members of the BHI Team had the privilege of attending the Alzheimer's Association Coffee and Cognition event at the Stark Neuroscience Center. Dr. Bruce Lamb, the director of the research center, gave an insightful presentation on the current focus of Alzheimer's research. It was an eye-opening experience to learn about the groundbreaking advancements happening right here in Indiana. We are proud to continue supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer's across all of our BHI campuses! The rain couldn't dampen the spirit of our residents, staff, and guests at our Barrington of Carmel campus last week.
