Congratulations to Lenore Trammell, Big River Steel's CAO, GC, and CCO, for being honored as the Woman of the Year in Business by the Women's Foundation of Arkansas. Lenore's family, friends, and colleagues, as well as other industry leaders were on hand to celebrate her as she was recognized at the Power of the Purse event in Little Rock. During her speech, Lenore observed that, for this generation of girls and young women, "They now have an abundance of role models in various fields, showing them that they, too, can aspire to lead." She continued, "...leadership is not defined by gender, but by vision, ability, and the strength of character to create positive change. If our daughters can see it, they know they can be it." Congratulations, again, Lenore on this well-deserved honor!

Exciting look at how BIG the future is!

For the second year in a row, Big River Steel was proud to be the military sponsor of the recent FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. We were honored to offer complimentary grounds tickets for each day of the tournament to our brave active-duty service members and veterans.  It was a privilege to host these courageous men and women in the Patriots' Outpost, a venue dedicated exclusively for the military, providing shaded seating and complimentary drinks and snacks. On the first day of the tournament, 100-year-old veteran Richard (Dick) Eiseman honored all with his presence by visiting the Patriots' Outpost. He spoke with several veterans in attendance and was met with applause when he entered the venue. We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Eiseman and all the veterans for their sacrifice and selflessness.

Big River Steel hosted a grand opening of its new non-grain oriented (NGO) electrical steel line on April 3, 2024. Electrical customers and the team at BRS gathered to celebrate the new line, which has the capacity to produce more tons of NGO electrical steel per year in the U.S. than any other domestic steelmaker. The NGO electrical line will supply steel needed to boost power generation and efficiency, playing a vital role in meeting the ever-growing demands for global electrification.
