  • Chamber of Commerce hosts welcome event for new Billings residents. BillingsWorks Manager, Shaye Metcalf was excited to participate last week at the Billings Chamber of Commerce’s Welcome to Billings event. She was joined by Better Off In Billings Ambassador, Christian Bautista to welcome newcomers to our community. According to the 2024 Montana Labor Day Report, in 2023 Montana had nearly two job openings for every one unemployed person. This is due in part to the states aging population and increased retirements, resulting in declines in labor force participation. While Yellowstone County can boast a low unemployment rate, these statistics are affecting local business’s ability to fill positions. Thus, now more than ever attracting and retaining labor talent to our county is vitally important. That is why welcoming new residents, connecting them to the community and activities that make Yellowstone County such a great place to live is crucial now more than ever. Be on the lookout for the next Welcome to Billings Event and help us welcome newcomers to live and work in our community! Read more here: https://hubs.la/Q02WlQpl0
