Big Ideas Learning was thrilled to sponsor the Totes of Appreciation event in Erie, PA, which took place earlier this month. This event, organized by GracyLane, continue to provide valuable opportunities for educators to connect, network, and gain inspiration from keynote speakers. We're especially proud that our own Dr. Courtney Nagle, Vice President of Teaching and Research at Big Ideas Learning, was a featured speaker at the event. Dr. Nagle shared her expertise on "Productive Dispositions in the Classroom," offering valuable insights to help educators foster positive attitudes and effective learning environments. Every attending teacher received a tote filled with essential school supplies to enhance their classrooms. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that align with our mission to engage curious minds and inspire a love for learning. A heartfelt thank you to GracyLane for organizing another successful event, and to all the dedicated educators who participated! Check out the photos from Totes of Appreciation on their Facebook Page, linked below.

Secondary Mathematics Academic Coaching Specialist Relationships first, content second. 🤗

Last week, Danielle Oehler and I were able to spend three days engrossed in learning at the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) in Houston. We attended numerous sessions centered on a variety of relevant topics, including promoting student discourse, assisting students with essential calculator applications, tapping into AI to aid in efficency, as well as utilizing small group instruction and manipulatives in the secondary classroom. We also had the opportunity to provide resource feedback for Big Ideas Learning and serve on the STEMscopes Math Texas Advisory Board. It was an incredible amount of professional learning (and fun!) in just a few days. Thank you to Big Ideas Learning for sponsoring the CAMT registration for the Austin ISD Secondary Math Team! We are very grateful for this opportunity and are excited to bring back such meaningful information to our teachers!
