For 25 years, BRI has been dedicated to helping students across the country understand America’s history, government, and their rights and responsibilities as citizens. Now, we're thrilled to announce a major boost to our mission, thanks to the generous support of Canon USA! With Canon's help, we’ll be delivering even more pocket Constitutions to classrooms nationwide—empowering students and teachers with vital resources like the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights. “We are proud to support efforts that help students learn more about our country’s history and fulfill their civic duties,” said Francis McMahon, executive vice president, Production Print Solutions, Canon U.S.A., Inc. #OTD October 14, 1774, the Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress was adopted. The statement outlined the colonists' grievances against the British Parliament's Intolerable Acts. Within their grievances, the colonists outlined rights that would evolve into the Bill of Rights. The colonists debated on how to confront the parliamentary acts placed on them by Britain. Including a plan of action, with acts such as boycotting British trade, sending a petition to the King, and publishing addresses, the Declaration and Resolves came to fruition. https://lnkd.in/eKZiS9kH
