    Accounting tip of the day. A lot about good accounting is good processes. And this holds true with accounts payable. This is collecting the bills on time, having someone verify that they are true costs and accurate, and making payments on time. Here are two tips that can make the process simpler. In this case, having one will work, but having both is better. Create an accounting or accounts payable email where your vendors can send their bills. Having everything sent to the same place makes life so much simpler. Easy collection is a great way to simplify and streamline your process. Implement a bill payment system that can collect approvals from other people in the business. This is effectively the electronic version of passing an envelope of bills around the office to collect paper signatures. We recommend Bill. Yes, you could collect approvals via email, but a bill pay system simplifies this and does not allow things to get lost in someone's inbox. Also, it is easier to pay directly from this system.
