The Florida Atlantic University Career Center has made the decision to postpone the Florida Atlantic Internship and Part-Time Job Fair, currently scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2024. The new, rescheduled date for the Florida Atlantic Internship and Part-Time Job Fair is Thursday, November 7, 2024 (11 a.m.- 3 p.m.) in the Boca Raton campus recreation and fitness center. Our September meeting was a another opportunity for new partnerships to be formed, a sharing of key insights from our speakers and thoughts about how this group can play an even stronger role going into 2025 and new realities in Washington. Thank you to Winiecki Scott, FDA Rare Disease team, for shedding light on current processes and progress "de-siloing" major decision-making channels within the FDA. The collaboration and emphasis on moving medical innovations forward in the rare disease space is encouraging to us professionally as well as personally for the patients.  Thank you Grace-Marie Turner Marie Turner, Galen Institute, for your big picture discussion on "turning the page" and talk about innovations and technology in terms of lives not dollars, as well as the emphasis on public-private collaboration successes, and direct collaboration with those in the medical field - those working directly with patients.
