Since most approved drugs are metabolized by CYP #enzymes, thereby increasing the risk for #druginteractions, it’s been speculated that non-CYP metabolism might become more prominent. However, no such trend has been observed for approved drugs, so we looked to see whether there has been an increase of non-CYP reaction phenotyping studies showing the involvement of non-CYP enzymes compared to approved drugs. #GordonResearchConferences #ADME #DMPK

Results from registrants polled in our #ADME in #CellandGeneTherapy development webinar last week showed that 63% expressed concerns about off target effects. However, arguably the more concerning result was that 68% said they were not conducting in vitro assessments for potential off target #toxicity. So the question is, should you?
