On the last week of August, we successfully hosted two events: "Breaking Into Life Sciences Entrepreneurship in NYC With FxF" with Tri-I Biotech Club, WCBA: Westchester County Biosciences Accelerator (The Catalyst), and Startup Venture Group on August 28th, and a networking Happy Hour with Genspace NYC on August 29th. We hope everyone enjoyed the panel discussion on life science entrepreneurship with alumni Hourinaz Behesti from Hebbian Bio, Paul Booth from Applied Surgical Robotics, and Prakrit Jena from Lime Therapeutics. Thank you to Mary Howard from FxF for this event! The next day, biotech enthusiasts gathered in Genspace in Brooklyn for a networking happy hour. BIOTECH XYZ is a co-host for "Breaking Into Life Sciences Entrepreneurship in NYC with FirstXFounder (FxF)" on August 28th at 6pm at Mortimer B Zuckerman Research Center (417 E 68th St) Room Z-138, along with the Tri-I Biotech Club, and Tri-Institutional Startup Venture Group (SVG). This collaboration event will feature FirstXFounder (FxF) WCBA accelerator program with a panel discussion involving FXF Alums who will relay their experiences with the WCBA program, and a presentation about the 2025 WCBA program and application process. WCBA helps academic and corporate spinouts, inventors and first time founders build emergent ventures.
