During the first 5 years of Nucleate’s existence, the organization rapidly grew from a student-led program at the Harvard Biotech Club to a global 501(c)(3) non-profit with 41 chapters across 20+ countries, operating 15 programs that have empowered over 255 teams globally to raise $370M in funds. Nucleate is excited to announce the release of our second Entrepreneurial Scientist Playbook - "Operationalizing Your Therapeutics Spinout"! This is the second of three playbooks that Nucleate will release over the coming months. 🌐 We're thrilled to provide the global community with free resources through the Nucleate Research Initiative. This initiative offers insight into the complex world of biotech entrepreneurship, addressing knowledge gaps often experienced by PhD students and postdoctoral fellows as they transition from academic labs to successful companies. 📘 Our "Operationalizing Your Therapeutics Spinout" playbook covers the entire process of operationalizing a therapeutics spinout, from business basics to organizational development. 🌟 Event Recap: She Leads Bio - Elevating Women's Impact in Biotech 🌟 We recently had the pleasure of hosting a thought-provoking panel and discussion event, "She Leads Bio: Elevating Women's Impact in Biotech," with Alexandria LaunchLabs featuring two trailblazing leaders in the biotech industry: Megan McGill, MD, PhD, CEO of Epitor Therapeutics, and Jennifer Power, CEO of TFC Therapeutics. Highlights from the Event: 🔬 Diverse Career Journeys: Megan and Jennifer shared their unique paths to becoming CEOs. Megan’s journey spans over a decade of expertise in clinical medicine, research, management consulting, and drug development, while Jennifer’s 20+ years have encompassed the development, commercialization, and delivery of groundbreaking medicines. Their stories illustrate the varied experiences that shape leadership in biotech. 💪 Overcoming Hurdles: Both leaders candidly discussed the challenges they faced along their careers, from navigating industry barriers to overcoming personal and professional obstacles.
