The Silver Ranch Career and Technical Center, also known as Nobel, will offer students enhanced educational opportunities across a variety of trades, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, agriculture, and carpentry. The program empowers students to explore meaningful careers early on. Through real-world construction projects, students don’t just learn valuable trade skills—they gain confidence, build purpose, and prepare to step into the workforce with a strong foundation. Yesterday, we held our Opening Day celebration to kick-off the 2024-2025 school year! 🎉😀 This all district event included words from our BPS Superintendent - Dr. Fastnacht, BPS School Board President - Dan Eastgate, BEA President - David Augustadt, and 2024 ND Teacher of the Year - Sheila Peterson! Thank you to the American Heart Association for presenting BPS with the Centennial Award! 🏆❤️ Thank you to our amazing student emcees from Century High School - August Phillips & Haley Mezger, CHS Color Guard, BHS/CHS/LHS choir students for singing the National Anthem, Simle Middle School 6th graders for leading the Pledge of Allegiance, and everyone else who helped celebrate the new school year with us! Last week Monday, over 200 Bismarck Public School 6th grade beginning band students picked up their instrument for the first time...AND after 8 days, performed nine songs for their families. 🎉👏 🎶 We are excited for these students to begin their band journey! 🎷🎺🥁 #learnbps

Last week, we partnered with the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC to host a Lunch on the Patio event and recognize Career Academy Director, Dale Hoerauf. Mr. Hoerauf celebrated 40 years of service with BPS and will be retiring as the Career Academy Director this year. Last week, we wrapped up our first middle school CTE camps featuring Medical Related Careers, Business and STEM! 🩺👔🔨🤖 Campers participated in many hands on activities and learned from multiple different organizations within the community that gave them real-world experience to explore different career paths. 😀👏#learnbps
