Just last week There was a discussion: How many repetitions it takes for a message to "organically" grow within an organization. The overall response was 14. We could have a poll on this issue. But the larger point here is the use of the word "organic". Overall within BizTechfund Inc. the word organic definition is: "growth in harmony with surroundings". It comes close to the word sustainable. But it could be regenerative too! Related to the definition BizTechfund Inc. recently published this article on sustainable travel after an encounter with TRAVARAS co-founder Jennifer Loh .Check it out..

SOLO VC are vogue in venture investing world especially with an unprecedented opportunity this mechanism offers in helping entry of managers from various backgrounds. Solo VC investing in a complex landscape of startups can be overwhelming. However, solo VC strategy allows for agility and quick decision making. Team BizTechfund Inc just had a great positive interaction with Team Ignite Ventures led by #berkeleyhaas and #uw alumnus Brian Bell. He's a rising star in early-stage VC and has built an impressive portfolio with 110+ startups and with over 2,000 member advisors on TeamIgnite. What is attractive about Team Ignite Ventures is the passion and collaboration spirit Brian brings for helping startups. Another interesting aspect is the geographical mix of investing with more than 1/3rd of investments made outside the US. We definitely need more Solo VCs with agility, passion and collaborative approach similar to Team Ignite Ventures. Interesting solo VC perspective:

At BizTechFund our emphasis is on providing data oriented solutions to small businesses at mass scale. The story of BizTechFund started with entrepreneurship bug biting a public college professor. Vikas Tomar looked at a very small role of deep tech in altering grassroots business landscape and thought that through entrepreneurship this adoption can be accelerated. This thinking needed a knowledge of business fundamentals from an ecosystem that produces entrepreneurs at an astonishing rate (University of California Haas School of Business) and collaboration as well as mentorship from similar other ecosystems (Purdue Firestarter program, Stanford H4D program, Berkeley RDI program, Y Combinator Startup School, Department of Defense ICorps program etc.). Since its birth BizTechFund has collaborated with My Business Care Consultancy, CGreen, EMachineLabs, KissanSay and is in process of forming multiple other partnerships with emphasis on providing financial impetus combined with data driven insights for deep tech adoption at scale. One of the first things the BizTechFund team did was to have an open conversation with budding entrepreneurs in this area through a podcast series that just concluded its first season. In the next few posts we will delve into interesting insights and discovery from such conversations along with new things happening in BizTechFund domain. #AI #deeptech #energyinnovation #finance

Really interesting work by Meghana Sudarshan and team here. When developing AI driven onboard battery management (BMS) controllers for unknown chemistries operating in unpredictable scenarios, we encountered three challenges: 1. we needed AI to consume least amount of energy possible (#energysavingAI); 2. we needed algorithms to work with unknown chemistries of rechargeable batteries; and 3. we needed algorithms to be sufficiently predictive with non-standard in-operando operational data. This work achieves all three objectives with help from a set of physics driven tools combined with experimental database from 11 different organizations all over the world.
