UT Austin alum passionate about international affairs, global operations, cultural exchange, and language acquisition with vast experience in NGOs, government, and policy analysis.
🚨 **BIG NEWS!** 🚨 After six months of relentless pursuit, countless applications, and a whole lot of perseverance, I am beyond thrilled to share that I've officially joined RTI International as a Project Associate in their International Education Division! 🌍 This is a dream come true! Ever since I can remember, I’ve been passionate about making a global impact and solving some of the world’s toughest challenges. Now, I get to do just that at one of USAID’s top partners—an organization that truly values my expertise, passion, and unique perspective. In my new role, I’ll be diving into the operational and financial management of large-scale projects, making real change happen on a global scale. Breaking into the humanitarian sector hasn’t been easy, but every ounce of hard work, dedication, and persistence has paid off. I’m proof that when you know your worth, you can achieve anything. This new chapter is all about growth—new opportunities, new tax brackets, and a future that’s brighter than ever. Remember, your worth is immeasurable, so never settle—add tax and keep pushing forward! Here’s to the journey ahead! 🚀 #humanitarian #ngo #internationaldevelopment #newjob

Chief Curator & Director of Collections of the Museum of African American History | Boston & Nantucket
Very excited for the release of the long-awaited and highly anticipated anthology, Ubuntu: Interdisciplinary Conversations Across Continents. I wrote this chapter about three years ago and presented it in conversation with Dr. Efua Prah in the Ubuntu exchange, a collaboration between Michigan State University’s African Studies department and Stellenbosch University. My chapter, “When Glamour Was African: Etta Moten Barnett, diasporic interiors, and Ubuntu aesthetics,” looks at how Moten Barnett participated in Pan-Africanism and the concept of Ubuntu through fashion, style, and art collecting—and celebrity. I expand even more on this in a chapter of my dissertation (also very very overdue), where I also tease out my thoughts on my curatorial approaches in the museum and art worlds, since Moten Barnett dabbled in museum curation during a period in her career. Join the book launch today! https://lnkd.in/eCVxMhyJ
