In #ClimateAction, everyone's racing to be #second. We're pushing to be the #first to show what a path to #NetZero #mobility, born entirely out of #Caribbean creativity and innovation, looks like. It's challenging, but we're ready! If anyone in the LinkedIn community feels #inspired, join us: https://lnkd.in/en_TeNAg
🌿⚡️ Some of you asked: *"How did we power an electric car with Sargassum seaweed?"* Well, here’s the scoop: we took Sargassum seaweed and wastewater from rum distilleries to create biomethane (basically natural gas). We stored that biomethane in a propane tank and used it to fuel a dual-fuel generator, which slow-charged our EV. Pretty cool, right? 🌱🔋 But that’s not all! We also showed off Kirstin's upgraded Suzuki Jimny, which is set to run on our renewable natural gas (RNG) during the 4-car pilot – making the switch from petrol to renewable energy. 🚗✨ Big things are coming for clean, sustainable transport! Stay tuned! #Sargassum #Biogas #Rum #SustainableEnergy #EVCharging #GreenTech #CleanDriving #InnovationInAction
