The first few buildings at our Firestone Junction community in Firestone, Colorado, are officially framed! This exciting 300-home luxury community for our partners at Blackburn Communities will have various 1-bed, 2-bed, and 3-bed options across nine apartment buildings and four carriage homes. Residents will be able to sit out by the pool at the clubhouse or go for a walk to the neighboring Firestone City Centre. This community is located next to a mobility hub currently being constructed by CDOT and is expected to be completed in 2025. Last month Blackburn Communities gathered to break ground on our first official North Carolina development! We were joined by Housing Studio, Bolton Menk, Google Fiber, RKW Residential, and Town of Huntersville Commissioner, Alisia Bergsman, for the groundbreaking ceremony for Hambright Junction Apartments! Hambright Junction is a 300-unit, Class A apartment community conveniently located for commuting throughout the Charlotte MSA with easy accessibility to I-77 and I-485. The community will include a 7,500 square foot clubhouse and amenity space for resident use and will promote natural areas and green space with a multi-use path and expanded sidewalks. We are excited to see this project come to fruition!

A familiar retail building along Eighth Street on the city's west side would be torn down to make way for an apartment complex as developers continue to eye Colorado Springs for more multifamily housing. Blackburn Communities of Oxford, Miss., the multifamily development arm of the Blackburn Group, has submitted a proposal to city government officials that shows it plans to construct three, four-story buildings with a total of 294 apartments on 8 acres on the east side of 8th Street, between Costilla Street and Moreno Avenue. The apartment complex, to be called Junction on 8th, would be the second for Blackburn in the area; it also developed the 301-unit Polaris Junction at the Polaris Pointe mixed-use project in northern Colorado Springs. #multifamilyhousing #development #housing
