🏦 Payroll Fraud Alert ⚠️ If you ever receive an email asking to change payroll information, like direct deposit details, take a pause! Before making any updates, always verify the request by talking directly with the employee involved. Hackers often disguise their emails to look like they're from trusted sources such as ADP or QuickBooks, or may spoof an employee's email address, or could be sent during an email account takeover. They may even include documents with the employee's correct personal details, but beware—these documents could provide the hacker's bank details instead. Always confirm directly with the employee before making the update. Stay vigilant and keep your payroll secure! 💼🔒 #PayrollFraud #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth

🚨 Beware of SMS Phishing Scams! 📱 Smishing is when cybercriminals utilize text messages to trick you into clicking on suspicious links to gain login details or other information. These messages might pretend to be from: - Your bank or credit card company - Online shopping platforms - Your cell phone carrier - Or even your “boss” requesting a quick favor ⚠️ Stay vigilant! If you get a text with a suspicious link, don't click it. Instead, open your browser or app and log in directly to the official website. If your account needs attention, you'll be notified there. For odd requests from colleagues or managers, especially involving the transfer of money, give them a call to confirm before taking any action. 🔒 Protect yourself and your data by staying alert and verifying requests through official channels. Share this tip to keep your friends safe too! 🙌 #CyberSafety #PhishingAlert #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth
