What began in 2011 as the planting of 500 apple trees has grown into something truly special. 💚🍏  This year, with the help of 200 amazing volunteers from Forgotten Harvest, 50,000 lbs of apples were harvested to help feed those in need. Since we started this partnership, over 400,000 lbs of apples have been shared with our community. We’re proud to be part of something bigger.

Recently, we had the honor of hosting the Armada Schools Robotics Team’s Gala at Blake's Orchard and Cider Mill. As someone deeply involved both here at Blake's and on the school board, this event was a powerful reminder of the importance of nurturing young talent within our communities. It wasn’t just a celebration of innovation—it was a testament to how investing in our youth creates lasting change. For many of us, the impact was personal, as several of our own staff members have family on the robotics team, making the event even more meaningful. While we love hosting fun and exciting events at Blake’s, our passion goes beyond entertainment. Supporting our community, especially through education, is something we’re truly passionate about. Your presence and contributions at the Gala symbolized something much bigger—our collective belief in building a stronger, more connected future.   A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made that evening unforgettable. 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We’re thrilled to share that Appleseed Camp has officially received and passed state licensing! 🎉 Over the course of 7 sessions, we welcomed 343 kids to our summer camp this year. 🌳🍎 This three-day adventure offers a unique blend of agriculture education and outdoor fun. From discovering new interests and making new friends to creating unforgettable memories, Appleseed Camp is where learning meets adventure! 🌟👫🌾 Here’s to letting kids unplug, play, and grow in nature’s classroom.

We recently honored the work anniversaries of two valued team members: Koral, who has spent 3 fruitful years with us, and Shelby, who will reach her 2-year milestone on August 31st. Their passion, creativity and hard work have helped our events blossom, and we’re thankful to have them as part of our team. 🌻 That’s a wrap on this year’s Sunflower Festival! 🌻 If you’ve ever visited Blake’s, you know we love our chalkboard signage around the farm and the creativity that goes into them. This year, we’re celebrating the fantastic work of Salina and Kaden, whose collaboration on these signs truly captured the spirit of our Sunflower Festival. Their designs not only enhance our spaces but also connect with our customers in a vibrant, authentic way. Fun fact: Salina began her journey at Blake’s as a chalkboard artist and has since grown into our lead graphic designer, infusing her artistic talent into every aspect of our brand. We’re incredibly proud of her journey and the amazing contributions she continues to make! 👏 Cheers to Salina and Kaden for their fun, artistic work! 🎨
