The American Red Cross has launched a massive response to ensure no one faces this challenging time alone. More than 1,200 Red Cross disaster responders are working around the clock to provide safe shelter, comfort and support for people facing unimaginable destruction across the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. Affected communities are facing different struggles, and the timeline for recovery and what support they need will be different. Each day, we are working tirelessly to reach more neighborhoods as conditions improve. The cancelation of blood drives in the Helene impacted areas has resulted in thousands of pints of blood to go uncollected. Based on what we have seen, these cancelations will continue.
