Over the past month, Innovation Council members joined us in Miami, New York, and San Francisco for good food and even better discussion. Perspectives shared around the table at our recent Council dinners included: - Point-solutions vs. platforms: Large enterprises tend to bet on incumbents, but forward-leaning organizations can press their own competitive advantage by engaging with best-in-class startups. - Regulations in the banking industry: Founders can use these requirements to their advantage rather than being discouraged by the long sales cycles. Members recommend that startup founders understand business risks for the customers and translate their product capabilities into risk reduction or mitigation strategies for customers. - Software supply chain: A growing challenge as more dependencies are introduced to development pipelines - Talent is a concern: Challenges of keeping talent qualified to handle complicated tasks in a dynamic reality Thank you to our Innovation Council members for joining us for productive conversations for our team, your fellow members and our portfolio companies!

Amidst the AI boom, some employees wonder if new technology will outperform and eventually replace them. CIO.com’s Maria Korolov writes about the likelihood of CIOs being replaced by AI. Blumberg Capital Innovation Council member Tim Crawford contributed that “Generative AI does have the ability to replace CIOs who don’t embrace the innovative shifts coming for companies. For the rest, gen AI will greatly augment the power and value of the role of the CIO.” Read more CIO.com.

Thank you to our friends and colleagues in Tel Aviv for joining us yesterday for a Rosh Hashanah toast. Your resilience and commitment to supporting visionary founders is benefiting individuals and businesses around the world. Thank you to Eitan, Idan and Asaf for bringing together Israel's next generation of venture capital leaders.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of co-hosting the Young VC community alongside Eitan (Blumberg Capital) and Asaf (Random Forest VC) a remarkable group of professionals from various venture capital funds at a Tel Avivian wine bar for a Rosh Hashanah toast. The takeaway is clear - the drive and passion to propel Israel and its startups to remain at the forefront of the global tech scene are stronger than ever, especially in those difficult times. Looking forward to more meaningful connections with this amazing community in the near future💫⭐️ GUTS - Harel Innovation hub

DoubleVerify, leading software platform for digital media measurement and analytics, recently released research describing how generative AI tools are being used at scale to create fraudulent app reviews, thus making it faster and easier than ever before. Fortune’s Sage Lazzaro outlines the tens of thousands of AI-generated fake reviews that DoubleVerify found, propping up thousands of malicious apps across major app stores. DoubleVerify is working with app stores to flag problematic apps and ensure that users are safe from this unethical use of generative AI.
