BNSF announced today it has reached a tentative labor agreement with The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Also, members of The National Conference of Firemen and Oilers (NCFO) have voted to ratify their collective bargaining agreement with BNSF. The agreement with IBEW marks the ninth tentative agreement announced by BNSF in the last two months, with 53 percent of the railroad’s union workforce now covered under tentative agreements. The agreements provide covered railroaders a 3.5-percent average wage increase per year over the next five years, more vacation earlier in their career, and enhancements to health care benefits.
