Today we're highlighting Kara Carpenter, Associate Marketing Analyst at Lamb Weston! Where are you from? I'm originally from Sacramento. My parents decided to move to Boise for retirement, and since I was working remotely at the time, I decided to join them! I ended up falling in love with the area, the people, and most of all, French Fries (aka my current company!). What's your favorite BYP program? Being newer to the area myself, I find the b|connected social events are a great place to network and connect with new people and friends! These events push me outside of my comfort zone, but I've always left the events with a new contact or friend! What do you like best about your job and why? I get to talk about French Fries every day, who wouldn't love that?! But in all seriousness, besides the potatoes, the people I get to work with day in and day out are what make my job so enjoyable. They are kind, supportive and challenge me to put out the best work I can. What is your biggest accomplishment? I bought a house in March of 2023 and have made so many improvements within the past year. It's been challenging and exciting being a homeowner, but I've loved learning new skills, especially working on my green thumb!
