CHANGE: (verb) 1. To make (someone or something) different; alter or modify. 2. Replace (something) with something else, especially something of the same kind that is newer or better; substitute one thing for (another). (noun) 3. The act or instance of making or becoming different. Sounds like change is easy right? Well actually, it isn't for 40% of women. That's a pretty hefty number, considering the positive words in the definition, such as "newer," "modify," and "better." So what causes fear of change, and what are the top reasons we respond the way we do? Why do you feel you can't look for a new job, advance in your role, relocate, or just simply step away from the daily norms that are holding you back? Usually, the fear/difficulty of adapting to change is due to a variety of psychological, emotional, and practical factors, such as: 1. Fear of the Unknown 2. Comfort with Routine 3. Loss of Control 4. Fear of Failure 5. Emotional Attachment 6. Cognitive Biases 7. Social and Cultural Pressures 8. Previous Negative Experiences 9. Effort and Learning Curve 10. Identity and Self-Concept 11. Potential for Loss You've heard it all before, but it bears repeating. If you're NOT changing, you're NOT growing, you're NOT being present. Here are some ideas that might help: 1. Refresh Your Growth Mindset 2. Focus on What You Can Control 3. Stay Open-Minded (Let go of skepticism) 4. Flex Your Coping Skills 5. Break Changes Into Smaller Steps 6. Build a Support Network 7. Stay Curious and Keep Learning 8. Be Prepared for Setbacks 10. Self-Care With each small step, you can move the boulder. And you don't have to do it alone. Not anymore. Book a no-pressure call on Monday to learn how you can control a positive change in your career and life. PS- Monday's the last day to take advantage of our offer worth $1000! https://bit.ly/4dkeaoo #womeninleadership #EmbraceChange #success #bestadvice #PsychologyOfChange #EmotionalGrowth #OvercomingObstacles #CourageToChange #MindsetShift #FaceYourFears #BreakTheRoutine #GrowthMindset #TransformYourLife #PersonalDevelopment #LettingGoOfControl #BuildResilience #ChangeYourMindset #ChallengeYourself #personaldevelopment

Jobseekers - WHHHY?!!! 😱 Why don't you have your LinkedIn URL on your resume?? This is the first thing hiring execs want to look at. It's the second thing recruiters want to look at (after the 7 seconds they spend scanning your resume). If you don't have it there, they have to search for you on LinkedIn, and who knows how that will go OR if they'll spend the time. Recruiters are reviewing 100s - 1000s of resumes. Not having your LinkedIn makes it harder for them to see you! Please take a moment to add your LinkedIn profile to your resume RIGHT NOW. 🙌🏻 #jobsearchtips #bestadvice #resumetips #careers #success #linkedin

Ladies, are you feeling prepared today?? In today’s competitive job market, preparation isn’t just an option—it’s a necessity. For women leaders, being prepared can make all the difference when competing for coveted roles. 💪 Imagine this scenario: you’re one of three strong finalists for a coveted role. You’ve nailed the interview, but what sets you apart? It often comes down to how well-prepared you were. From researching the company culture to articulating your unique value proposition, preparation allows you to showcase your strengths confidently. 📈 The impact of thorough preparation can be profound. It not only boosts your confidence especially if you've come out of a shakey situation that's left you feeling less than fearless. I’ve seen it firsthand... 🌟 “You were 1 of 3 strong finalists, but absolutely our #1 choice.” That’s what can happen when you slow down and prepare. 🔍 So, how can you ensure you stand out? Start by doing practice interviews, even if think you've got it nailed. Practice, practice, practice. We're rooting for you! #WomenInLeadership #CareerGrowth #JobSearchTips #MondayMotivation #Bossmakeher

About 5 years ago, I conceived of a business to support executive women in their job search. And let me tell you, seeing women like you giving it their all and rising to the top... It keeps all our work inside BossmakeHer meaningful and SO worth it! That’s why it's heartbreaking to hear about women's daily struggles just to move from one interview to the next, let alone reach that coveted finish line. I know, and you know, the grind of proving yourself over the past 10, 15, or 20 years— The sacrifices you made, the loyalty you’d shown, and the profound impact you had on the companies and teams you led. So why can't recruiters and companies see that? Why are they asking you questions that aren’t even relevant? Why does it feel like climbing Everest to get beyond that first interview? Sometimes, it seems like you have to "convince" them of something that seems so obvious, and suddenly, it gets frustrating… This whole job search feels like a never-ending sales pitch. Well, I have some good news for you! In this recent article, I share expert tips on how to breeze past the first interview and get to the second, third, and beyond! Because, while securing that leadership position is the ultimate goal, the journey there is just as important. The more confident and relaxed you are throughout the process, the better your chances of getting where you want to be. Here are a few tips I've put together on commanding confidence in the interview process --> READ MORE https://lnkd.in/ehmAY-Vk We're rooting for you! #interviewtips #jobsearch #careers #success #bossmakeher

    Stop interrupting! #management

Gentle reminder: Women leaders are unhappy working for you...😱 How can you fix this? 1. Stop interrupting them 2. Understand they need more flexible family time 3. Pay them the same as their male counterparts 4. Stop taking credit for their work 5. Promote them into the VP role they deserve (sooner rather than later) Great leaders aren't just employees; they are million-dollar assets. Women bring more women to your teams. Reflect: How are you treating your top female leaders? #leadership #management #careers #humanresources #diversity #bestadvice
