Thank you to the Boston Celtics for recognizing our CEO, Sheena Collier, with the "Heroes Among Us" Award during their annual HBCU night, a powerful celebration that brings together alumni from across generations—showcasing the rich Black HBCU culture that thrives in Boston.  As a proud Spelman College graduate, Sheena’s journey is a testament to the impact of spaces designed for us—spaces that shape who we are and fuel our ability to build lasting change. From reactivating Spelman’s alumnae chapter in Boston to founding Boston While Black, Sheena has dedicated her career to creating welcoming spaces for Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and students to connect, thrive, and belong. This award was more than just an individual honor—it was a powerful acknowledgment of why intentional leadership and community spaces matter, especially in today’s climate. Thanks to Sheena’s vision and leadership, BWB is approaching its fifth anniversary, a milestone that reflects not just the success of this organization but the power of community, belonging, and cultural amplification.
