Students will learn about women composers and their music, compose their own music in real time, and leave excited and empowered to create music and tell their own stories. As part of our Kennedy Center Social Impact Partnership, Boulanger Initiative will be hosting two days of Teaching Artist Training Workshops, August 13th and August 15th from 11:30am-4:30pm in the REACH. Elementary through high school age teachers will observe BI Staff teach culturally responsive music composition and history workshops with students in real-time and then work with staff, hands-on, practicing teaching those same workshops.
