*WE HAVE RAISED $50 MILLION IN 15 YEARS FOR GROUNDBREAKING CANCER RESEARCH ACROSS AUSTRALIA!* “I am extremely proud of the participants from all our rallies to reach this milestone. $50 million raised in 15 years is extraordinary, knowing the first year we raised $104,000 and now we are raising $9 million annually. This really shows the growth and support Box Rallies, and the teams have been given by the wider community. The funds are having a direct impact on living with and fighting cancer and our partnership with Cancer Council Australia has made it possible to fund so many outstanding national researchers.” James Freeman said Since partnering with Cancer Council, Box Rallies has funded 63 research projects across many cancer types and at leading institutions around Australia. Some of these projects includes funding research led by: Dr. Lorraine O’Reilly (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) - Pioneering early detection for stomach cancer Assoc Prof Marina Pajic (The Garvan Institute of Medical Research) - Targeting treatment resistance in pancreatic cancer Assoc Prof Luke Selth (Flinders University) - Making prostate cancer more responsive to immunotherapy Sarah Hosking, CEO, Cancer Council NSW said, “Whilst our cancer outcomes continue to be amongst the best in the world, by working together we can all play a part in tackling cancer for all Australians. The impact of Box Rallies on cancer research cannot be overstated; their commitment and passion drive our shared mission to fund the best research in Australia. Funding the next cancer research breakthrough takes all of us and together, in partnership, Box Rallies and Cancer Council are making strides towards a future where no one has to face cancer alone.” In 2024 and beyond, the aim of Box Rallies is to continue funding the best cancer research and to connect our community with the research and the researchers themselves. With the recent launch of the Box Rallies website, we aim to promote the researcher and empower the community. Over the coming year there will be plenty of inspiring content and a huge amount of information on the research that we have funded together. Thank you to each and every one of you who have participated in, donated to and supported our rallies. From James Freeman OAM and the Team at Box Rallies. Last week the annual Cancer Council Research Awards took place and we are thrilled to announce that Box Rallies have funded 11 new cancer research grants totalling an incredible $5.3 million! Some of our rally teams were able to join us on the night to see first-hand where the funds go and to meet the researchers themselves. See below picture of Team Hatto and Team Shaft Punk with Research Grant recipient Owen Dillon. It is the aim of Box Rallies to fund the best research in Australia and to connect our community with the research and the researchers themselves. Our new website will evolve over the coming year with plenty of inspiring content and a huge amount of information on the research that together we fund. We promote the researchers. We empower the community. www.boxrallies.com

**TEAM REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN!** Shitbox Rally 2025 - Winter June 19th to 28th Perth to Darwin via The Gibb River Road James Freeman OAM is said; "This is our 15th Anniversary rally (in our 16th year - thanks to Covid). It has been 10 rally years since we last tackled the Gibb River Road, but this time the overall route is mostly different with a lot more unsealed kms and over 8 days, not 7. This rally has been 10 years in the making. We would have been back sooner if there weren't border issues in the past, but it's great that this rally has worked for our 15th year. Naturally, the Gibb River Road is special and will certainly test all of the vehicles and teams, but we hit the dirt on Day 1! Day 2 is all unsealed and Day 3 takes us around the incredibly beautiful Karijini National Park, all before we hit the N/W coastline and head to Broome and Derby. Even after the Gibb and all of the river crossings, the 2 day drive to Darwin will be incredibly beautiful and I am sure we will lose more cars that have been punished over the previous 6 days. It will be one incredible rally and a great way to celebrate our 15th Anniversary!" CLICK HERE to open the team registration form that you need to complete and submit to us: https://lnkd.in/e_4Wktun Note: You will be prompted to enter your email address. It is very important that you enter the SAME email address that is in our database and/or previous team registrations. Your email address is what our system uses to identify you and allocate you in the correct place in the queue. GOOD LUCK!

In the very first rally we raised $104,000 and I had grand plans to reach $1 million raised by year 5. We did it in year 4. But in all my years I never ever thought I would see a fundraising total for Shitbox Rally that started with a 3 and had 6 zeros (or 5 and a 1) behind it! A credit to everyone from the Autumn rally and a little bit of help from a very special lady from the U.S. Embassy in Australia. I think this record will stand for a very long time. Box Rallies

Australia's US Ambassador, Caroline Kennedy, was part of this year’s Shitbox Rally that’s just snaked its way past Uluṟu (please don't @ us - that's its real name...) Here, the Ambassador’s standing atop her 2004 Ford Falcon, “Moonbox” - a homage to her father’s ambition to reach the moon in the 1960s. Shitbox Rally, part of Box Rallies, challenges teams to drive cars worth less than $1500 across some of Australia's most formidable routes to raise money for Cancer Council Australia This leg of the rally winds up today in Perth, and has already raised $2.8 million for charity - big congratulations to all the participants! #ExploreUluru
