We're proud to announce a partnership with professional football player David Montgomery. Starting his Scouting adventure in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a member of Scout Troop 772, David learned how to balance his passion for football with his commitment to Scouting, and the important life and leadership skills it awarded him. In fact, Montgomery’s high school Eagle Scout project combined both passions. Leveraging the high attendance and popularity of his high school football games, Montgomery led toiletry drives to support Cincinnati’s unhoused community. “Scouting took me outdoors and helped me discover a lifelong love for camping and fishing,” says star running back, David Montgomery. “It also taught me valuable lessons like developing a strategy and executing a plan, as well as how to be accountable for others than myself,” he continues. “These skills helped me both in Scouting, and also taught me how to be a better athlete on the field.” Today, David runs impressive plays on the football field and simultaneously raises awareness of the positive impact of Scouting. “David’s journey from a local Scout Troop to the NFL serves as a powerful reminder of the impact our program can have on youth, inspiring them to discover their full potential,” says Roger Krone, Chief Scout Executive, President and CEO of Scouting America. Join us as we celebrate David’s role as our Scouting America Recruitment Ambassador. We are so honored to partner with him and look forward to the future ahead – it’s a win for all involved!
