Reflecting on an Amazing Experience at Braven Summit 2024! Attending the Braven Summit in New York was truly inspiring. The event highlighted the critical importance of bridging the gap between education and career opportunities, especially for underserved students. Thank you to Braven for inviting me to the 2024 Braven Summit in NYC this week to participate in “The Power of Internships in Helping Students Secure Quality Jobs After College” session. I had the honor of sharing insights alongside Chancellor Felix Matos Rodriguez, Mo Ramos, Valerie V., and our stellar moderator Ruth Watkins. Internships during undergrad play a vital role in post-graduation outcomes, especially for students from underrepresented backgrounds. REMINDER! Applications for the Capitol Hill Fellowship Program are due TONIGHT! Selected Braven Fellows from The City College of New York, San Jose State University, and San Francisco State University will intern in Washington, DC, working directly with Congressional members from their states. To be eligible to apply, Fellows: - Must be current CCNY, SFSU, or SJSU students who have completed or are currently enrolled in the Braven Accelerator course - Have a 3.0 GPA or higher (all majors are welcome!) - Be available to work in Washington, D.C. for eight weeks (June-August 2025) “My experience has provided me with numerous opportunities to learn about policy and build a sense of community,” shares Zacharriyah Uddin, one of the inaugural Braven Fellows who interned with Rep.
