I’ve been watching Democratic conventions ever since I was 5 years old. Now 17, it’s been the honor of my life to be invited to the 2024 DNC and witness history on behalf of Dream for America.
I am beyond proud of the Dream for America team (James Steinberger, Joshua Metters, Cristian Camberos, Luika Rohy, Lawrence McIntosh, & Shaeleigh Severino) and all the amazing programming and press coverage we secured throughout the week.
As the youngest organization at the DNC (having been founded just 1 year ago), our team manned a booth at McCormick Place and had conversations with thousands of curious visitors. Thanks to our partners at Artist Proof Collective & Minuteman Press, we were able to restock our booth with thousands of signs, stickers, and other merchandise after running out several times.
Dream for America also hosted a lunch and reception with Amy McGrath, Mike Schmuhl, & Rep. Cheri Bustos at the Mercury Public Affairs, LLC office in Chicago. Our event drew coverage in POLITICO Playbook.
And live from the United Center, our National Organizing Director Nathaniel Pelton joined Kenneth Harbaugh on MeidasTouch's award-winning Burn the Boats podcast. I joined Anthony Barkett and Michael Kristoff on Political Playlist and was the subject of a documentary by Deutsche Welle.
It was also a privilege to connect with Rep. Maxwell F., Harry Dunn, Kerry Kennedy, David Hogg, Rep. Andy Kim, Parker S., & countless other brilliant and awe-inspiring leaders from around the nation.
Coming out of the DNC, I am more optimistic than ever before about the future of our country.
WE’RE NOT GOING BACK! 🇺🇸
