Grateful for the opportunity to partner with Prosperity Initiative on the wage equity crisis in the non profit youth serving workforce in San Francisco. Thanks to Moira DeNike and Alice Hu-Nguyen for their great work on this project.
As part of our efforts to achieve more dignified wages in the field, we partnered with Bright Research Group, to conduct original research. The following report was prepared by BRG on behalf of PI and written by Alice Hu-Nguyen, Moira DeNike, and Brightstar Ohlson. We are so excited to officially share this long awaited report! San Francisco's Wage Crisis in Youth-Serving Nonprofits: 2024 Report aims to raise awareness about the low wages in the sector and how they affect the quality of services provided to youth and families. The report also offers actionable solutions for addressing the wage crisis. It outlines specific steps that three key sectors—city government, philanthropy, and nonprofits—can take to create meaningful change and improve conditions for the workforce, ultimately enhancing the services offered to San Francisco’s youth and their families. See below for our one page summary and visit our site to access the full report at https://lnkd.in/gc3tSUhW For questions or presentation inquiries contact info@prosperityinitiative.org

We are thrilled to announce that last week we launched a new initiative at BRG called The Guild! The Guild is a collaboration and training space for our network of BRG fellow alum, consultants, and clients to form new connections, learn from and with one another, and work in partnership on social impact projects. Through programming at The Guild, we will continue to strengthen a leadership development pipeline for people with lived experience to contribute at the highest levels of systems change. Last week’s event included a training on fundamental consulting skills designed to support our current cohort of Perez Research Fellows as well as fellowship alumni who have launched their own independent consulting firms and nonprofit organizations. It was great to reconnect with so many people in our BRG network, including fellow alumni from 7 different BRG fellowships! We’re thankful for the energizing day and looking forward to all that is to come. Keep an eye out for more information on The Guild and opportunities to get involved in the coming months!
