I had the privilege of attending the BrightCove Live Event alongside my friend Travis Pomposello. The panel discussions delved into crucial topics: - "Navigating AI": Start by pinpointing the business problem/opportunity to solve with AI. This seems straightforward, but in my experience companies sometimes incorrectly start with identifying an existing technology solution and then try to figure out what problem it can solve. A "boil the ocean" approach that can lead to fruitless endeavors. - Insights from BBC CEO Rebecca Glashow and BrightCove CEO Marc DeBevoise emphasized the criticality of understanding your audience for content success and integrating AI into the creative process. From my prior media experience, a common theme of building trust with your audience should also be a top priority. Also much respect to Marc's on stage presence. I highly recommend any event where he is a speaker. Grateful to Meghan Wright and Sheila Colbert for the invitation. BrightCove continues to find its place in my tech stack throughout my career and I was glad to participate in their event.
