Toronto, Atlanta, and Vegas in just four weeks is a lot. As we settle back into our daily candle-making routine, it’s been a good time to reflect on the 2024 trade show circuit. While the travel can be exhausting and the long days demanding, it’s also invigorating to experience the unique energy of each city and the buzz of fifty thousand people gathered in one place. The longer you’re in the business, the more perspective you gain. Trade shows aren’t just about finding new accounts; they’re about discovering new business partners, like-minded entrepreneurs, and even lifelong friendships. You meet people from around the world who offer fresh perspectives and a different zest for life. You also gain insights into your company—its strengths and weaknesses—and realize that what you do brings joy to people globally. You realize all the items your forgot at the warehouse (like a total space cadet). You learn what makes your co-workers happy or frustrated, who gets hangry and when, all while forging deeper connections than you could in the office. Finally, after four intense days at each show, you high-five your team and fly out. It’s an experience like no other, with lasting positive value for you and your company! So, here's to the 2024 circuit - you were one for the books!
