We are heartbroken to inform the community that Circulation Associate Arthur Williams passed away November 9, 2023 after experiencing a cardiac event at the Library. We are shocked by his passing and doing our best to process what happened. Arthur was a beloved member of our staff and a wonderful friend to all who were lucky enough to know him. His ever-present smile and easy laughter lifted the spirits of everyone who came into contact with him, and he will be dearly missed by the entire community. Library staff and trustees have spent the morning grieving together and sharing memories of Arthur. He was passionate about food and often exchanged recipes with Library members; he was an avid watcher of TV dramas like Criminal Minds; he was a lifelong fan of musician Luther Vandross; and he especially loved spending time outside with his family on the weekends. If you have your own fond memories of Arthur, or would like an outlet to express your grief, we encourage you to leave a note in the memory book at the Library’s entrance.
