I am incredibly proud of our Brookhaven Police Department Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program. This cutting-edge initiative is the next evolution in public safety drone programs, setting a new standard for emergency response. Our DFR program deploys drones to respond to emergencies immediately upon receiving a 9-1-1 call for service. This allows us to: 🔹 Provide real-time situational awareness to our officers 🔹 Improve response times 🔹 Enhance officer safety 🔹 Offer immediate assistance to our community This initiative has allowed us to be a national model for sustained excellence in public safety through mutual trust with the community, innovative policing methods, and the ongoing development of all police staff. By leveraging advanced technology, we are not only enhancing our operational capabilities but also building a safer and more connected community.
