"You carry on no matter the obstacles, and when the going gets tough, you get tougher. And you win…” – Vince Lombardi. Jayshree Shinde’s story is one of unwavering resilience, proof that no setback can hold you back if you refuse to give up. Struck by polio at the tender age of two and a half, Jayshree faced over 12 surgeries throughout her childhood. While others may have seen limits, she saw possibilities. She accepted her challenges, completed her graduation, pursued a PG and an MBA, and even rode a modified three-wheeler scooter to work. But her journey didn’t end there. In 2009, Jayshree faced another life-altering event —a road accident that led to an extended recovery period of over a year and a half. Yet, even in those dark moments, she found light. Her first post-recovery walk in a nearby garden was a triumph, sparking a new goal: marathon running. Starting with short walks, she pushed her boundaries daily until she confidently completed her first 5 km marathon, eventually building up to several 21 km runs. Today, at 50, Jayshree has completed over a hundred marathons, including being cheered on by Sachin Tendulkar and recognised for her participation in the 365 km Vijayraj Sindhia Women Empowerment Rally. Her grit earned her a spot in the PM’s ‘Fit India Movement’ launch video, celebrating her as a role model for all. Her mantra? Focus on your strengths, not limitations. As part of the 100th anniversary of IFA Berlin, BSH Home Appliances looks back at key innovations in the home appliance industry.    Including these appliances from BSH:    The historic Bosch cooling drum is the first electric refrigerator for private households to be mass-produced in Europe and is the predecessor of our innovative refrigerators today.    The “Neuzeit” was the first Bosch kitchen machine making life at home easier back in 1952 and was the first kitchen machine to be mass-produced in Germany.     Furthermore, visitors can also see the Siemens “Siwamat” washer-dryer from the 1970s.   #BSH #IFA2024 #HomeAppliances
