We’re thrilled to introduce Claudia Shank as our 2024 Attorney of the Year entrant! Claudia advocates for a collaborative, solutions-driven approach to land use and development. While she knows an adversarial stance can be necessary, she believes the best outcomes come from partnering with opposing parties—especially municipalities and state agencies. Her mission is to establish McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC as one of Lancaster County’s top land use law firms while providing exceptional service to local home builders and giving back through the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County (BIA). We are delighted to introduce TK Building & Design's 2024 Pillar Award entry for Best Addition in the $100,000 - $250,000 category! With a growing family, including many young grandchildren, these homeowners wanted to create a larger space for gatherings and to enhance their outdoor living area. While they kept the kitchen in its original location, they updated it to gain more counter space, all while preserving the charming craftsman/bungalow style of their home, complete with unique rooflines and intricate details. Lovers of local art, they prioritized natural light and spacious walls to showcase their collection. To achieve their vision, they added an expanded deck that leads to a backyard featuring a covered area for outdoor entertaining and convenient access to the garage. Along with interior renovations, they also revamped the siding and trim on much of the home, giving it a fresh new look! The vision was to create a vibrant, inviting, and functional space that aligns with Cold Stone Creamery’s brand identity and operational requirements. Given the complexity of converting a previously existing restaurant into a new establishment with different needs and standards, this project required meticulous planning and coordination.
