As we approach our upcoming Mix & Match: Building Housing Solutions, One Card at a Time event, let's take a moment to introduce two of the brilliant designers behind the Mix & Match Toolkit: Ben Hoffman and Janette Komoda Kim. Ben Hoffman, Junior Designer at LMNOP Design Inc. and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Architecture graduate, has played a role in community rebuild efforts, including the Dixie Fire rebuild in Greenville, CA. Ben brings his deep understanding of place-based housing development to the Mix & Match Toolkit, combining local knowledge with innovative design strategies. Janette Kim, Principal of All of the Above and Associate Professor at California College of the Arts, partners with community organizations to champion equitable land and resource distribution. Janette’s projects, including the Resilient by Design Bay Area Challenge and Bartertown board games, have shaped community-driven solutions across the Bay Area.
