Did you know that Sean Bukowski has a Youtube channel? Yes, in addition to the Podcast and weekly blog Bukowski Law Firm, P.C. has a Youtube channel to keep you informed on various topics as they pertain to the commercial real estate world and other industries that support it. In the latest episode Sean discusses contractors and subcontractors rights in Texas, Prompt Payment Act TPPA of 2024. If you are not familiar the Texas Prompt Payment Act (TPPA) is a crucial piece of legislation for anyone involved in construction projects within the state. It establishes specific timelines for payments between owners, contractors, and subcontractors, aiming to prevent late payments and financial hardships that can lead to business failures and job losses. Take a moment and watch and we would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. And as always, if you or your clients have some questions or situations that you would like to seek legal advice on. Reach out and book a with Sean Carl Allred or Casey Seeboth the attorneys and the brains. Or me (Leah) the personality hire 😁

This weeks Bukowski Blog, Tales of Legal Madness is on the topic of Labor Market Recalibration possibly influencing the Fed. Two different interesting news drops last week that could affect the commercial real estate world. The first is that the Labor Department announced it overstated jobs by 818,000 in the last year. The second is that, unsurprisingly, Chairman Powell announced it was time for the Fed to lower rates. Out of curiosity I did a quick search on Texas Labor statistics. In a report dated 8/24, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states Texas had 792,000 job openings in June 2024, compared to 762,000 openings in May. And 469,000 hires and 521,000 separations, compared to 503,000 hires and 430,000 separations in May. Our Attorney Carl Allred would be happy to know that Houston ranked #4 out of the top 12 Metropolitan Cities that experienced job growth. More traffic! So what does this mean for the commercial real estate world? Read on and see what Sean Bukowski has to say on this topic. And as always, if you are looking for experienced attorneys in commercial real estate reach out and book a call with us. We handle transactional and litigation. From dirt to disposition. We would love to help you and your clients thru the process.

Sean Bukowski and Austin Creative Alliance are pushing back against a memo from city staff that appears to have derailed an effort by City Council members to preserve a pair of East Austin properties that serve as the group’s headquarters and cultural space. For those of you who do not know, Sean is an avid arts and music fan. And of course all things Austin and Michigan. GO BLUE! Read on for the article and his response to the council. And if you are a fan of the Austin Arts, join them and help support the Austin Creative Alliance.
