In the wake of Hurricane Milton, our Kroger Delivery team stepped up to help the community in need. Members of the Groveland Fulfillment Center team were able to reach a Florida neighborhood where residents were greatly impacted by flood waters following the hurricane's landfall. They quickly pulled together a large donation of water, food and cleaning products for the neighborhood in Lake County. When the Kroger Delivery truck arrived for the drop off, residents pulled up in canoes and were then able to take the donations to neighbors who could not leave their homes. We were proud to welcome the Florida High Tech Corridor and Cenfluence to Lake County for a Pitch and Brew event. Thazen, Agrii, and COMPETE pitched to a panel of judges, including our very own Meg Brew, Lake County Economic Development Director. It was also great to have Safia Porter with Black Orlando Tech and Destin Wells with Orlando Economic Partnership as judges for the event.    Cenfluence's mission is to forge internationally recognized industry clusters that are globally competitive, resulting in significant contributions to Central Florida’s economy. This results in expanded economic opportunities and increased job opportunities in Central Florida. Regional partners like the Florida High Tech Corridor and Cenfluence can have a BIG impact on Lake County in assisting innovators in scaling up, connecting to other innovators, finding synergies, and leveraging opportunities.    Thanks to Mega WorkPlace of Eustis for hosting, and thank you, Cenfluence and Lake Economic Area Development (LEAD) Partnership, for an incredible event.

Today, our team took a tour of Christian Care Center in Leesburg. This faith based organization provides care to Lake County residents and helps them with things like housing and employment assistance. We are so thankful for the opportunity to learn more about this amazing facility and the positive impact they have on our residents!
