About us
The Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity charter is based on Gov. Cox's commitment to economic opportunity statewide. The mandate for this office is to provide rich business resources for the creation, growth, and recruitment of companies to Utah and increase tourism and film production in the state. The Go Utah office accomplishes this mission by administering programs based around industries or "economic clusters" that demonstrate the best potential for development. The office utilizes state resources and private sector contracts to fulfill its mission.

Thank you to the Japanese Vice Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry for hosting our delegation. Both of our regions are eager to collaborate in strategic areas — including energy, critical minerals, and key business sectors. Close collaboration with our allies in these areas will boost our economies and international security.
