  • Advancing Pediatric Healthcare in Belize - thank you World Pediatrics! Butterfly’s Global Health Partner, World Pediatrics, recently upskilled their Belize-bound traveling health team with Butterfly iQ3. With a goal to deliver life-saving surgical and specialty care to kids who need it most, World Pediatrics recognizes that point-of-care ultrasound can improve diagnostic capability, and help guide clinicians to make informed decisions for their patients. Daniel, pictured below, had experienced months of bloody drainage from an old surgical site. In the capable hands of Drs. Sulkowski and Castello, and with the help of a quick examination with the iQ3, a benign suture granuloma was identified as the cause. Daniel’s granuloma was removed in a straightforward procedure, and within a week, Daniel was back to being an active, happy kid with parents who could breathe easy. At Butterfly, we’re proud to work with partners that share our mission to advance health equity everywhere and for everyone through improved access to ultrasound.

A few great #pocus #ruralhealth cases from this weekend using Butterfly Network, Inc. IQ. This the first. Case signed out by night provider. 65 yo recent angioplasty lower extremity 5 days ago at tertiary care center comes in with very severe left arm pain and swelling of forearm area migrating proximally. This was near the site of catheter entrance. Sign out was: we have no vascular duplex on weekend, CTangio upper extremity to be done. Since the APPs there now call me the "Fairy Wand Father 😄" decided to take a look with my HHUS (wand). No DVT on bedside exam. Might as well assess arterial system....radial artery 0% flow on color and power doppler with echogenic thrombus. Heparin started, vascular called, US images sent via text. Vascular agrees. In mean time CTangio comes back complete cut off of radial artery, vasospasm vs thrombus? 5 days out from procedure and based on POCUS vascular surgery agrees, likely thrombus and occlusion from sheath not vasospasm. Patient transferred. #vascular #ruralhealthcare #fly🦋fly #qualitycare #emergencymedicine

🦋 “We don’t want to be in a constant state of audit. Having an assessment firm like A-LIGN, which has conducted an independent assessment across hundreds of requirements and artifacts to obtain multiple high-quality audit reports, is truly a badge of honor.” -Mike Tiemeyer, CISO of Butterfly Network, Inc. Butterfly Network took on the challenge of simultaneously completing planning and readying four assessments slated for 2025 with A-LIGN as their audit provider.
