Exciting Update for the Silver Fund and BYU Community! We’re pleased to share that the Bloomberg Room in the Tanner Building has been upgraded with a refreshed design and additional terminals, expanding our capacity to nine Bloomberg stations. This improvement gives more students direct access to essential financial data, news, and analytics, helping them make informed investment decisions and develop critical research skills. These updates reflect the Marriott School’s commitment to empowering students to succeed in real-world finance settings, particularly as they manage the $4.2M Silver Fund portfolio. This year, we were thrilled to host the Silver Fund alumni reunion with two exciting competitions—the Stock Pitch Competition and the Battle of the Quants. The turnout was fantastic, with many talented students stepping up to showcase their skills. Congratulations to our winners! Earlier this month, we had a fantastic turnout at our inaugural Alumni Event, bringing together over 60 alumni and current students. We kicked off the weekend with a golf tournament on Friday morning, followed by a delicious luncheon on campus catered by Magleby's. We were thrilled to hear from Rob Nydegger, President of Ensign Peak, who shared valuable insights with us. That afternoon, our students showcased their talents in the Stock Pitch Competition and the Battle of the Quants (stay tuned for more details on these exciting competitions next week!). On Saturday, alumni united to cheer on BYU Football as they triumphed over Arizona with a score of 41-19 in their 2024 Homecoming game. It truly was an action-packed weekend filled with networking and camaraderie! A huge thank you to our event coordinators for making this memorable event possible. We look forward to future alumni events so we can continue to strengthen the Silver Fund network and support our students in their investment management aspirations. #BYUSilverFund #AlumniEvent #InvestmentManagement #Networking #BYU
