We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and committed nutrition professional to join the Field Services Administration (FSA) team and work in the Field Services Unit 2 Region 1-Coastal. Under the direction of Region 1-Coastal Child Nutrition Supervisor I of the FSA, the incumbent will monitor and complete administrative reviews of program operators participating in the Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) for compliance with state and federal regulations, conduct nutrient analyses of meals served, educate the public, as well as nonprofit program operators, provide program-related technical assistance, and analyze and interpret state and federal laws and regulations. The position requires at least 50 percent travel and throughout the state of California as needed. Registered Dietitians preferred but not required. The majority of the caseload will be in Imperial and San Diego Counties. Congratulations to our 2025 California Purple Star Schools! 💜🏫 State Superintendent Tony Thurmond announced that 83 schools have been designated as a Purple Star School this year, bringing the total number of California schools recognized with this honor to 179 since the program's inception in 2023. The Purple Star Program is designed to help mitigate the challenges of high mobility by setting standards for and publicly designating military-friendly schools. “Congratulations to the educators, staff, administrators, parents, and students at these schools,” said Thurmond. “These schools are crucial to supporting our military-connected students, ensuring that they maintain their academic, college, and career aspirations while their parents serve our country.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gXWV3mGq
