We are proud to announce that we had the privilege to donate $4,179.49 to our friends at SOAR365 for their Youth Services Program. This donation represents 10% of the first month's interest for those vehicles financed with us between February and May. Stephanie Couldrey, Chief Lending Officer, said this about the donation, "At Call Federal Credit Union, we deeply desire to help make dreams come true, unite people by creating a sense of community and belonging, and demonstrate that we are all equal – equally deserving of happiness, love, care, and the opportunity to thrive." Our Business Development Manager, Sherita H. Hayes, and Hanover's Community Branch Manager, Rob Miller, did a fantastic job in representing Call Federal Credit Union at the BLCKStreet Conference earlier this week! Organized by Rasheeda Creighton of the JWC Foundation , the event provided a dynamic platform to connect with local small businesses and showcase our business accounts while being inspired by guest speakers and workshops. We're proud to have supported this impactful conference and look forward to future opportunities. As part of our ongoing commitment, we proudly champion entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, including women-owned, Hispanic-owned, Black-owned, and other underrepresented businesses.

By starting with your people! 🌟 Last Saturday, we celebrated our annual Family Picnic, where Team Call & our families enjoyed a fantastic day together at SOAR365's PARK365. A big shoutout to Deep Run Roadhouse for the delicious food that made our event even more special. At Call Federal, we believe that taking care of our members begins with taking care of our staff and their loved ones. Events like these remind us of the importance of community and connection. Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun; it's really one of favorite, most memorable events each year! 😎

In 2023, our focus on helping kids become financially successful and the launch of our business banking services manifested a connection with Pamela Spratley M.Ed. and The Enough Foundation RVA in 2023. Fast-forward to last weekend - we had a great time hosting the mentors and mentees from their Young CEOs program at our Commerce Rd HQ! Members of Team Call, including our CEO, worked through concepts like paying yourself first and budgeting to demonstrate how having a strong foundation in their personal finances can also pay dividends in their entrepreneurial careers. After spending some time with these budding business leaders, we can confirm what we already believed - the future is bright! Team Call took some time away from the branch/office last week to visit with our friends at Junior Achievement of Central Virginia and share some financial knowledge with students from Freeman HS @ the JA Finance Park! The JA program does an amazing job of addressing a range of topics about the economic realities & choices these teens will be faced with in the coming years. It's a great experience being able to guide their financial journeys even in this brief engagement... and they never cease to leave you smiling with their candor and the funny ways they approach their scenarios (and each other). Thanks again, JA! We'll see you soon and recommend volunteering @ the Finance Park to anyone who has the time and inclination to play a role in helping young people becoming financially successful.
