A few photos from the Camden Academy Charter High School trip to Africa. It was a full 14 day trip with visits to the beach and parties where cultures were shared. The brave even engaged in close interactions with tigers and lions. The group also visited Gorée Island, an outpost for slave and other trading from 1536 until 1848. There they performed a symbolic ritual of stepping on and off the island as homage to those forcibly enslaved and never able to return. Upon their return home, students are displaying a new level of maturity. They gained an appreciation of life and are more outspoken...with poise, honor and leadership qualities.

The CCSN team hosted our 10th annual We Are Charter 5K this past weekend! It started out as a cold, rainy day but the weather didn’t stop us! Close to 300 participants joined to walk and run in support of higher education for Camden youth. The blue sky returned for the free health fair presented by Camden Academy Charter High School following the race. Thank you to all our supporters and partners for helping to make this event a huge success.
