What a great way to start your morning. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana recently sent out their “2025 Benefit Changes” to all of their insured customers. Guess what was listed as new benefit to all of their policies? Answer: “Urinary Dysfunction and Sexual Dysfunction Treatment resulting from Cancer Diagnosis or Treatment.” See below letter from BCBS for detail. This new added benefit is a direct result of CAGLA’s 2024 state legislative efforts. Remember that CAGLA led the charge on the passing of HB 508 which mandated this coverage for our cancer patients. CAGLA would like to thank 2 of our CAGLA Scientific Advisory Board Members for leading the charge on this bill: Dr. Matt Mutter and Dr. Sidd Panmadhaba. CAGLA will continue to fight for all of the cancer patients across our state. Thank you for your support! Sincerely, Chad Landry - President & Executive Director of CAGLA #CAGLASTRONG See below BCBS letter for detail on this new 2025 added benefit-

Rich Mauti is a CAGLA Trustee and a good friend and mentor to many in our community. Rich continues to "move mountains" with his Mauti Cancer Foundation. He is an inspiration to all of us.
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to fight cancer in Louisiana. The Mauti Cancer Fund is proud to be a special donor for the first Lung Cancer Mobile Screening Van in the state, in partnership with the St. Tammany Health System and St. Tammany Health Foundation. This groundbreaking initiative will enhance access to early detection and timely intervention, empowering our community to prioritize their lung health and well-being. Our organization has made a transformational gift of $500,000 to help purchase and equip Louisiana's first Lung Cancer Mobile Screening Van. This innovative mobile unit will revolutionize early detection efforts in our region, offering: • Lung cancer screenings • Coronary calcium assessments • Aorta measurements • Vertebral bone density scans This comprehensive approach aligns perfectly with our mission to improve cancer care access and outcomes in Louisiana. Since 1981, we've been committed to this cause, raising over $3.5 million in the past four years alone for cancer care in our state. We're deeply grateful for this partnership with St. Tammany and eagerly anticipate the positive impact this mobile unit will have on our community's health. By bringing these critical screenings directly to local events and underserved areas, we're taking a proactive step in the fight against cancer. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission!
