We are excited to welcome Kevin Murphy as our new Managing Director for our US OEM business. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and operations, Kevin brings a proven track record of driving significant growth and operational excellence across various industries. Most recently, Kevin served as the Regional Commercial Director for AkzoNobel Wood Coatings for the Americas where he led the North American wood coatings business. Prior to that, Kevin held the position of Vice President of Sales at Silvercote/Distribution International, driving the sales organization through an organic growth strategy that ultimately elevated Silvercote/DI to a Market Leading share. Kevin’s experience also includes pivotal roles at Greyne Co. and Wurth Wood Group, where he demonstrated exceptional skills in team building, strategic planning, and change management. A passionate leader, Kevin, is dedicated to empowering employees and fostering a culture of high performance. Last week I had the opportunity to test our Panel Pro by CNC Automation at our finishing lab in St Zotique with a valued client. The purpose of the testing was to push the limits and see what we could do to eliminate all hand work for MDF 1 piece doors in particular, as well as Veneer, and flat panel primed product. I am happy to say that we achieved excellent results! a) Sanding Raw Doors with the Panel Pro and Volpato edge sander. b) We then applied 2 coats of Canlak Coatings water based 1k Primer with our lab Cefla Finishing North America Prima with Sames Pumps and Guns c) Sanded with only the Panel Pro between coats and prior to top coat (also Canlak 1k Water based top coat d) Achieved a finished product that the client was very happy with! #Ateam #TryItBeforeYouBuyIt
