About us
The European canSERV project aims at defragmenting the landscape of European cancer research. Over the next three years, canSERV will enable academia and industry access to cutting-edge services and support from basic science up to clinical translation to foster personalised medicine for cancer patients. All services of the participating infrastructures will be bundled on a common platform which will go online under www.canserv.eu. The canSERV project will connect, coordinate, and align existing oncology and complementary Research Infrastructures (RIs) alongside providing services in a synergistic, transnational, way. This will capitalise on the critical mass of experts and cutting-edge services offered by canSERV RIs and their extended networks. The canSERV consortium comprises 19 partners from leading EU Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs), Research Infrastructures (RIs), scientific societies, and patient associations. It's a European Research Infrastructure cluster project. Disclaimer: Posts reflect project views and do not necessarily reflect the official opinion of the European Union. canSERV reposted this
Project adviser at REA for biomedical and life sciences Research infrastructure projects. Experience in autogenous vaccines, advanced vet therapies, diagnostics and regulatory research on genetically modified organisms
Last week, I had the pleasure to visit the lively community of scientists involved in the #HorizonEU project “Providing cutting edge cancer research services across Europe”. canSERV Led by the Research Infrastructure BBMRI-ERIC, canSERV is a unique #ResearchInfrastructures project providing to EU researchers the chance to use borderless more than 400 front-edge instruments and services. The final goal is to unchain #CancerResearch in Europe by democratising the access to the latest technologies available in EU. Selected scientists can travel and use the facilities with no costs. This is a key aspect of the Horizon Research Infrastructure programme for TransNational Access (TNA) offered by #INFRASERV projects. In canSERV, 18 partners, including 13 EU Life sciences Research Infrastructures, and their scientists are helping EU researchers and small medium enterprises (SME) to answer most prominent questions on personalised oncology, understanding the mechanisms of cancer, patient care, develop clinic applications from research and training the next generation of cancer researchers. All aspects of oncology research are covered from provision of disease models, personalised oncology, biomarker research, digital and translational medicines services, access to samples as well as support for organisation of clinical trials or ethics and legal issues. The project is still ongoing, researchers have the great opportunity to apply to the next open calls and to get the chance to turn ideas into scientific evidence. If so, stay connected 👉 https://lnkd.in/eMF8c9xu canSERV fits well with the aim of the #EUCancerMission and with Europe’s beating Cancer plan to support initiatives for a wide impact on citezens and their health for prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment and quality of life of patients and survivors.
#canSERV_AM24 has come to a close! Prof. Jens K. Habermann from BBMRI-ERIC just gave final remarks. We thank all participants for their active contributions, fruitful discussions and continuing engagement! We look forward to continue our service provision in year 3 to serve the #cancerresearch community!
