Dr. Muhammad Tahseen, a critical care intensivist at Capital Health, visited Friendship Baptist Church in Trenton to present an educational seminar on high blood pressure and heart disease to members of the church’s Golden Community Group for seniors. We're excited to welcome our newest class of nurses to the Capital Health Nurse Residency Program! This 15-month certificate program gives new nurse graduates an opportunity to transition from entry-level nursing to professional nursing care under the guidance of a Capital Health preceptor or nurse leader. The program provides support and guidance to assist our nurse residents in developing clinical judgment, leadership, and decision-making skills. Capital Health Cancer Center recently hosted a medical lecture for referring providers focused on neuro-oncology, bringing together top experts to explore the latest advancements in the treatment of brain cancer. The session offered a comprehensive look at both primary and metastatic brain tumors, highlighting new technologies and the benefits of a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. Congratulations to Nayquan Ford, the winner of the Capital Health Auxiliary’s BBQ Extravaganza Raffle! Registered nurses from Capital Health were happy to be part of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) Employee Health and Benefits Fair in Princeton. In addition to performing more than 90 blood pressure screenings, our nurses answered questions and shared information about Capital Health with members of the ETS team.
