We're excited to welcome our newest class of nurses to the Capital Health Nurse Residency Program! This 15-month certificate program gives new nurse graduates an opportunity to transition from entry-level nursing to professional nursing care under the guidance of a Capital Health preceptor or nurse leader. The program provides support and guidance to assist our nurse residents in developing clinical judgment, leadership, and decision-making skills. If you are a new registered nurse and want to learn more about the program, please email Kim Coleman at kcoleman@capitalhealth.org or Joy Bray at dbray@capitalhealth.org

As part of Capital Health’s Trenton Neighborhood Initiative (TNI), we recently participated in and supported the Greater Mt. Zion's Family Enrichment Week. In evening sessions held Monday through Friday last week, this event benefited Trenton residents of all ages with seminars on topics such as computer literacy, health and wellness, tai chi and nutrition, CPR training and a tour of a Capital Health ambulance, financial literacy, workforce development, and spirituality. Capital Health also donated 75 laptops to those who completed four hours of computer training over two days. Thanks to everyone who joined us to make this a great week!

Our team at Capital Institute for Neurosciences performed its first stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG), a minimally invasive procedure that can pinpoint areas deep in the brain where difficult-to-treat seizures start. For patients with seizures not responding to two or more medications, this means the team at our Epilepsy Center can precisely identify areas of concern to determine the best course of treatment. Click on the link below to learn more about SEEG at Capital Health and the only level 3 epilepsy center in the greater Mercer, Lower Bucks and Northern Burlington county region.   https://lnkd.in/eyqCsHTJ
