A shout out goes out today for one of our thoughtful firefighters, Jovani Gamboa. He lead two lost dogs down the 2-mile trail to meet their owner at the trailhead. The two dogs had been missing since Saturday. A little dehydrated but still in good shape. Jovani spent some time giving them water and finding the owners phone number on a collar, before bringing them down the mountain. The owner was very appreciated. 8 Members of our Wildland Fire Division participated in a 2-Day (LARRO) Course. This Low Angle Rope Rescue training was specifically designed for an upcoming project, located in a high wildland fire environment. The crews will be assigned to provide Fire, EMS & Rescue support for a customer working in challenging conditions. This includes heavy vegetaion, steep terrain, narrow roads and trails. The project will kick off as the 2024 Wildland Fire Season begins this spring. #capstonefireandsafetymanagement #LARRO
